OK... Ryan is shy... well... not really, but sort of... He's not a publicity hound so I've got to come up with something here (I being the webmaster/music coordinator)...
True story - when I first came to town almost 20 years ago I started playing with a band that played a couple of outdoor festivals in Danby. Ryan was about five - saw me and remembered it as something influencing his wanting to play. Almost 20 years later, (before knowing the above) we dragged him up on an open mic stage because he said he played "a little", and he hasn't stopped since. So, he credits me twice for having some influence on what he does with music, though I suspect that the first experience actually scared him and he gave it up until he heard Dave Matthews but I could be wrong!
Dave Matthews is a major influence for Ryan as evidenced by his myspace.
The guy has some pipes and is psyched to be opening the event. Get in early on Friday so you can catch him!
