A new website has been launched for The Vermont Rally at www.vermontrally.com.

The site, developed by webkewl of Rutland VT, utilizes an open source Content Management System called "Joomla!" which allows a collaborative effort in the publishing of the site as the project matures. As Joomla! is highly extensible, features will be added to the site as need dictates. The current launch includes basic information about the event for the public, and a variety of tools to help event planners communicate behind the scenes.

As the event takes shape, so will the website!

The Vermont Rally began as an idea in the spring of 2007 and the vision has been persued by founder, Dirk Nakazawa since. The site launch marks a new milestone in the development of the three day event, and will attempt to provide numerous functions - from making the event known to potential visitors to attracting motorcycle clubs, civic organizations, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers, cooridnating entertainment schedules, and building community. Event planners expect to rely heavily on the web site to get word of the event to a wider audience as well as showcase the region for event participants with special accomodation packages, tour routes, and more in the coming weeks and months.
